Susan Alexander Shapiro started Susabella, Inc. in September 2003. The company is located in Seattle, Washington, although it has clients from across the country. Susabella, Inc. has won numerous design awards and holds the highest standards for print and website design.

Susan Alexander graduated Summa Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art and Design in August 2000. She began working as a graphic and web designer at a company in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. In the evenings, she worked on freelance projects and, three years later, started her business full time.

Many people ask how Susan came up with the name Susabella. It actually was the nickname given to her by her grandmother, Nonna. Susan was inspired by her grandmother’s tenacity and dedication; Nonna held high the principles that a great design firm should offer a unique product, be creative and be dependable. Due to that inspiration, Susan realized it was only appropriate to use Nonna’s name for her as the name for her future business, and thus, Susabella, Inc. was born.
